This is the article reported on KAPP and KVEW TV about being a best selling author for Fictionwise in the Children's Division for two eBooks. These channels serve a population of over a million people in the Yakima and Tri-Cities area in Central Washington State. A Timid Christmas Tree was #1 for over a month and Return to Painter's Island moved up to #22 during this period of time. Just wanted my fans to know.

Tieton author Gary Peterson's "E-book" is number one on Barnes & Noble best selling list
A Yakima area author's digital-only book is sitting atop a Barnes and Noble best selling list.
Gary Peterson's short story, "A Timid Christmas Tree," is number one for children's fiction. Peterson has a day job, but has been writing professionally for over a year now.
Another of his stories is number 32 on that same list, and while it can take years for a writer's' career to take off, he's surprised over his early success.
"I was absolutely floor-boarded. The reason why I don't follow the charts, because I didn't think my book would make it that high that quick."
Peterson has written three short stories and one traditionally-published novel, and is currently writing a second book. He says it could be years before he makes a decent amount of money from writing.
